Pigeon flying (kabootar bazi) is one of Pakistan's most loved traditions, with competitions held across Punjab, Sindh and KPK. Titans Pet lists pigeon events including high-flying tournaments, racing pigeon events and fancy pigeon shows, so fanciers can find competitions and meet other enthusiasts.
Types of Pigeon Events
High-flying tournaments test how long a team of pigeons can stay airborne, with flying sessions that can last many hours. Racing events release birds from a distance and time their return to the loft. Fancy pigeon shows judge breeds on feathers, shape and colour.
Preparing Your Pigeons
Competition pigeons need a balanced diet, regular training flights, clean lofts and good health care. Fanciers often use special feed, vitamins and electrolytes during the season. Always follow the tournament rules on registration, number of birds and timing.
