Goat shows are especially popular in Pakistan in the weeks before Eid ul Adha, when breeders show off their best Beetal, Kamori, Teddy, Makhi Cheeni and Rajanpuri goats. Titans Pet lists goat shows and bakra beauty contests across the country so you can see top animals and meet breeders.
How Goats Are Judged
Judges look at size, height, body length, coat, ear length, face shape and overall breed character. Categories are often divided by breed and age, with prizes for the best male and female animals.
Preparing Goats for Shows
Feed a balanced diet, keep animals clean and groomed, trim hooves and train goats to walk on a lead. Make sure goats are vaccinated and dewormed before the event.
