Cat shows are growing in popularity in Pakistan, bringing together cat lovers, breeders and veterinarians. Titans Pet lists cat shows in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and other cities, where you can see beautiful Persians, Siamese, British Shorthairs, Maine Coons, Ragdolls and household pets.
What Judges Look For
Pedigree cats are judged on how well they match their breed standard, including head shape, eye colour, coat, body type and condition. Many shows also have household pet categories judged on health, grooming and temperament, so any well-cared-for cat can take part.
Preparing Your Cat
Get your cat used to being handled and carried in a carrier. Groom regularly in the weeks before the show, trim nails and keep vaccinations up to date. Bring a comfortable carrier, litter, food, water and a familiar blanket to reduce stress.
